By posting an advertisement on LocalChoice, you agree to follow this policy, our Terms and Conditions, and all applicable laws and regulations in India.

1. General Rules for Posting an Ad

Every advertisement published on LocalChoice must be genuine, relevant, and lawful.

When posting a listing, please ensure that:

• You provide accurate and complete information.
• Your title clearly describes the product, service, or business being advertised.
• Your description explains what you offer without misleading claims.
• You upload relevant photographs that you own or have permission to use.
• Your contact details and location information are correct.
• You select the most appropriate category and subcategory.
• You have the necessary authority, permissions, and licences to advertise the product or service, where required.

Listings should help visitors make informed decisions. Avoid vague descriptions, exaggerated promises, and unnecessary promotional content.

2. Prohibited Advertisements

LocalChoice does not allow advertisements involving illegal activities, exploitation, fraud, or prohibited products and services.

The following are strictly prohibited:

Drugs and Illegal Substances

Advertisements promoting the sale, purchase, distribution, or supply of illegal drugs, narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, or other prohibited substances.

Sexual Solicitation

Advertisements offering or soliciting sexual services, paid sexual encounters, or prohibited sexual solicitation. Sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and any content involving the sexual abuse of minors are strictly prohibited.

Illegal and Stolen Items

Advertisements for stolen property, illegal goods, counterfeit products, prohibited weapons, or any item whose sale or distribution is unlawful.

Fraudulent and Misleading Listings

Fake advertisements, scams, false offers, impersonation, deceptive pricing, fraudulent investment schemes, and listings designed to cheat or mislead visitors.

Illegal or Unauthorised Services

Services that violate applicable laws or are offered without legally required licences, registrations, or permissions.

Harmful or Abusive Content

Advertisements containing threats, harassment, unlawful discrimination, exploitation, or other unlawful or harmful material.

Spam and Irrelevant Content

Repeated advertisements, keyword stuffing, unrelated promotional content, misleading titles, and listings created only to manipulate search results.

LocalChoice reserves the right to remove prohibited advertisements and restrict accounts involved in serious or repeated violations.

3. Accurate Information and Descriptions

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings.

Please ensure that:

• Prices, charges, and offers are stated honestly.
• Product conditions, service details, and availability are described accurately.
• Business names and contact information are genuine.
• Photographs represent the actual product, service, property, or business wherever applicable.
• Any important conditions, limitations, or additional charges are disclosed clearly.

Do not make claims that you cannot reasonably support or promise results that you cannot guarantee.

4. Photographs and Images

Use clear, relevant, and appropriate images that help visitors understand what you are offering.

You must not upload:

• Images taken from other people or businesses without permission.
• Misleading images that do not represent the advertised offering.
• Images containing illegal, exploitative, or prohibited content.
• Images intended to deceive visitors about the quality, condition, or availability of an offering.
• Copyrighted logos, photographs, or promotional materials without the necessary rights or permission.

LocalChoice may remove images that violate this policy.

5. Correct Categories and Locations

Every advertisement should be placed in the most relevant category and subcategory.

Choose the correct location for your business, property, product, or service. Do not use a false address or select another locality merely to attract more visitors.

LocalChoice primarily focuses on South Delhi, followed by the wider Delhi region. Listings should provide accurate location details so visitors can find relevant local options.

6. Duplicate Advertisements

Posting the same advertisement repeatedly to increase visibility is not permitted.

If you offer multiple products or services, create separate listings only when they represent genuinely different offerings and comply with our category rules.

You should update an existing advertisement when its details change rather than creating repeated copies.

LocalChoice may remove duplicate listings or restrict accounts that repeatedly misuse the platform.

7. Business and Professional Service Listings

Businesses and professionals may advertise their lawful products and services, provided their listings are genuine and comply with applicable laws.

Advertisers must:

• Use accurate business and professional details.
• Hold the necessary licences or registrations where legally required.
• Clearly explain the services offered and any important conditions.
• Avoid false qualifications, fabricated reviews, or misleading claims.
• Comply with applicable rules governing regulated industries.

Listings related to loans, financial services, property, healthcare, legal services, and other regulated fields must comply with the specific laws and requirements applicable to those services.

Publication on LocalChoice does not mean that we have independently verified or endorsed a business or professional.

8. Pricing, Offers and Availability

If your advertisement includes a price, make sure it is accurate and presented clearly.

Do not use an artificially low price, misleading discount, or false offer merely to attract enquiries.

If the final price depends on product specifications, location, service requirements, or other conditions, explain this clearly in the description.

Update or remove listings when products, services, or offers are no longer available.

9. Contact Details and Privacy

Only publish contact details and personal information that you are authorised to share.

Do not publish another person’s private information without appropriate permission. Avoid including sensitive personal details in public advertisements.

Contact information included in a published listing may be visible to website visitors. Advertisers should consider this before submitting their listings.

10. Advertisement Monitoring and Reporting

LocalChoice actively monitors advertisements to help maintain a useful and trustworthy classified platform.

Users can report suspicious, illegal, misleading, or inappropriate listings through the Report Ad button available on advertisements.

We may review listings based on user reports, our own monitoring, or other relevant information.

Although we make reasonable efforts to identify and address violations, we cannot guarantee that every prohibited listing will be detected immediately or that every advertisement has been independently verified before publication.

11. Listing Rejection, Removal and Account Suspension

LocalChoice reserves the right to reject, edit, restrict, or remove advertisements that violate this policy, our Terms and Conditions, or applicable laws.

We may also suspend or terminate accounts associated with fraudulent activity, serious violations, or repeated misuse of the platform.

Where appropriate or legally required, we may preserve relevant information and cooperate with competent authorities.

Users may contact us if they have questions about a listing removal or account restriction.

12. Responsibility of Advertisers

Advertisers are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, legality, and authenticity of the advertisements they submit, subject to applicable law.

LocalChoice provides a platform for publishing and discovering classified advertisements. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not participate in transactions or agreements between advertisers and visitors.

Users should independently verify details before making payments, sharing sensitive information, or entering into an agreement.

13. Compliance with Indian Laws

All advertisements and activities on LocalChoice must comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations.

Users must not use the platform to facilitate illegal activities or advertise products and services in violation of applicable legal requirements.

LocalChoice may take appropriate action against listings that violate the law or this policy.
