Spintops are one of those toys that are so deep rooted to our childhood. It would be less fair to say that these are just the toys. Spinning tops have taught our little minds the motion, speed and the force, working together round and round and round.
With these authentic wooden spinning tops crafted from Tamil Nadu, give your child a desi plaything, and draw a curious line of smile on their intrigued faces.
How to spin these tops?
Wooden spinning tops are equipped with a pullcord. Hold the wooden ring in one hand and forcefully draw out the pullcord wound around the wooden axis, using the resting hand, to and fro couple of times.
This will give the spintop an enough spiral motion. Before it slows down, quickly land it on the floor or any smooth surface, and enjoy watching the wobbling whirl.
How to reset the top?
Again, hold the wooden ring in one hand, and using the resting hand rotate the ball clockwise. This should wind up the pull-cord back around the axis.
Spinning top is known as Bambaram in Tamil, Pambaram in Malaylam, Bhowra in Marathi, Lattu in Hindi, Buguri in Kannada, Bongaram in Telugu and Latim in Bengali.
