1. Who Can Post Advertisements?

Currently, registered users can post classified advertisements on LocalChoice.in.

Both individuals and businesses are welcome to publish genuine listings, provided they comply with our website rules and applicable laws.

When posting an advertisement, you must:

• Use your own account or an account you are authorised to manage.

2. General Rules for All Advertisements

A. Keep Your Listing Genuine

Advertise only real products, services, properties, businesses, jobs, or opportunities.

Do not create fictional listings to attract enquiries, collect personal information, or mislead visitors.

B. Provide Accurate Information

5. Prohibited Advertisements and Content

LocalChoice.in has a strict policy against illegal, dangerous, exploitative, fraudulent, and otherwise prohibited advertisements.

The following content is not allowed.

A. Illegal Drugs and Controlled Substances

Advertisements offering or facilitating the illegal sale, purchase, supply, distribution, or trafficking of narcotic drugs, prohibited psychotropic substances, or other controlled substances are prohibited.

B. Illegal Weapons and Explosives

Advertisements involving the unlawful sale, purchase, manufacture, or distribution of firearms, ammunition, explosives, prohibited weapons, or other dangerous materials are not permitted.

C. Pornography and Sexually Explicit Material

LocalChoice.in has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, child exploitation, and content that puts children at risk.

Strictly prohibited material includes:

• Sexualised depictions of minors.

• Advertisements intended to groom, recruit, exploit, traffic, or abuse children.

• Listings offering or requesting children for sexual purposes.

• Content facilitating the abuse or exploitation of children in any form.

Suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation content will be treated as an urgent matter. We may restrict access to the content or associated account immediately, preserve relevant information where appropriate and lawful, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

Users must not download, copy, forward, or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material. Report the concern without circulating the material further.

F. Human Trafficking and Forced Labour

Advertisements facilitating human trafficking, forced labour, unlawful confinement, or the exploitation of vulnerable individuals are prohibited.

G. Fraudulent Jobs and Scams

Fake job offers, fraudulent recruitment schemes, advance-fee scams, fake investment opportunities, phishing, impersonation, and advertisements designed to steal money or personal information are not allowed.

Prospective tenants and buyers should independently verify ownership, documentation, availability, and other important details before making payments or entering into agreements.

7. Job Advertisement Rules

Employers and recruiters may post genuine job opportunities where permitted.

Job advertisements should provide clear and truthful information about the role, employer, location, and relevant requirements.

The following are prohibited:

• Fake vacancies.

• Misleading salary or employment claims.

• Fraudulent recruitment fees or deposit schemes.

• Jobs involving unlawful activities.

• Recruitment advertisements facilitating human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation.

• Advertisements requesting unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Advertisers are responsible for complying with applicable employment and recruitment laws.

Job seekers should independently verify employers and be cautious of requests for advance payments or sensitive financial information.

8. Price, Offers, and Availability

If an advertisement includes a price, offer, or availability statement, it should be genuine and not deliberately misleading.

Advertisers should:

• Clearly state the price or relevant pricing conditions.

• Avoid fake discounts or fabricated original prices.

• Update listings when an item or service is no longer available.

• Avoid advertising one offer while secretly intending to sell a substantially different product or service.

• Disclose important conditions that could affect a customer’s decision.

Where a price depends on specifications, location, quantity, or other factors, explain this clearly.

9. Contact Details and Personal Information

Only publish contact details that you are authorised to share.

Do not use LocalChoice.in to expose another person’s phone number, email address, home address, identity documents, or other private information without appropriate permission or lawful authority.

Do not use the platform to collect personal information for spam, harassment, fraud, or unauthorised marketing.

10. Copyright and Image Usage
